Halal food and family travel

Kyrgyzstan is a Muslim-majority country: meat is halal by default, pork is rare and mosques are found in every town, including the large Imam Sarakhsi Central Mosque in Bishkek. Alcohol is sold but easy to avoid. Many Issyk-Kul resorts have family rooms, pools and kids' areas; some offer separate swimming times or private beaches (ask the hotel). Arabic is rarely spoken, but drivers and hotel staff in tourist areas speak some English, and translation apps fill the gap. Family-oriented routes, prayer times and resort tips are in halal family travel.

The full version with distances is in our 7-day itinerary. Myth: "Central Asia is too far for a short break." Fact: it is closer than most of Europe from Dubai, with no jet lag (Bishkek is UTC+6, two hours ahead of the UAE). Send your dates and family size through Plan my trip.
