visitalatoo.com is a digital tourism portal for Kyrgyzstan, run by Ala-Too Digital LLC (ОсОО «Ала-Тоо Диджитал»), a company registered in the Kyrgyz Republic on 25 September 2026. We publish free, sourced travel guides in 2 languages — English and Russian — and connect travellers who send a request with verified local guesthouses, drivers, guides and tour operators across the country.

Why we started
Kyrgyzstan's tourism earned about $1.1 billion in exports in 2025 and is growing fast, yet much of it still runs on cash and word of mouth. Travellers struggle to find reliable, up-to-date information, and many excellent family guesthouses and guides cannot be found online at all. We believe that making tourism services visible and payable digitally is good for everyone: travellers get clarity and protection, small businesses get access to foreign demand, and the country records more of the export it actually earns.
How the portal works
- You read our guides — they are free and do not require registration.
- If you want help, you send a request through Plan my trip or WhatsApp.
- We clarify your dates, budget and interests, and propose options from verified providers.
- Prices are agreed transparently before you travel; we encourage digital payment methods with receipts.
We are not a booking engine with instant confirmation, and we do not publish invented prices. Where we give costs, they are ranges with a date, marked “as of 2026”.
Our editorial principles
- Sourced facts. Statistics come from the National Statistical Committee, the National Bank, government bodies and reputable media; sources are listed on each page.
- Dated information. Every page shows when it was updated. Rules change — border permits, park access, payment options — and we mark what needs checking before a trip.
- Own words. Content is written by us, not copied.
- No fake partnerships. We do not claim partnerships or numbers we do not have.
- Privacy. Request data is used to answer you; only anonymised, aggregated indicators are used in research.
Research and the university
The company's director is completing a master's degree in economics at Karakol State University named after K. Tynystanov, with the thesis «Digitalization of tourism services as a factor of export growth and reduction of the shadow economy in the tourism industry of the Kyrgyz Republic». The research section — tourism statistics, tourism exports, shadow economy — is the public side of that work.

Visit Ala-Too was founded by Oleg Guzey, director of Ala-Too Digital LLC and a master's student in economics researching how digitalization of tourism services grows Kyrgyzstan's tourism exports and reduces the shadow economy. The research section of this site is the public side of that work.
