If you are a guide or driver in Kyrgyzstan, you can join visitalatoo.com free of charge during the pilot, with no commission for the first partners. Verification takes 3 steps, and trip requests reach you by WhatsApp with dates, group size and route. Demand is real: Kyrgyzstan's tourism exports were about $1.1 billion in 2025, and long-haul travellers from Europe, India, China and Korea usually need a driver or guide outside Bishkek.

Requirements
- Valid ID; for drivers — driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance documents.
- Experience on the routes you offer; for trekking guides — first-aid knowledge is strongly recommended.
- At least basic English, or Russian for Kazakh and Russian guests.
- Registration as an individual entrepreneur (patent or another regime) is preferred; if you are not registered yet, ask the Tax Service about options — we do not give tax advice.
- Willingness to accept digital payments (QR or transfer) and give receipts where possible.
How verification works
- Send your profile. WhatsApp +996 777 998 882: name, region, languages, routes, vehicle (photos and seats), experience and a photo.
- Call or meeting. We check documents, ask about routes and safety, and for drivers check the vehicle condition by photo or in person.
- References. Reviews from past guests or recommendations from guesthouses and tour companies. Then your profile is added to our network.
How do leads come?
Travellers send requests through Plan my trip. When a request matches your region, languages and vehicle, we send you the details by WhatsApp: dates, route, group size and requirements. You confirm availability and price; we confirm with the traveller. Tour operators using our B2B service may also book you for groups. We do not guarantee a number of requests, especially in the pilot phase.
Myth vs fact
- Myth: foreign tourists only book through big agencies. Fact: many independent travellers look for a local driver or guide online and contact them directly.
- Myth: a digital trail only brings problems. Fact: recorded income helps you get bank loans for a better car and builds trust with foreign guests.
Why we ask for digital payments
Transparent, recorded payments protect both sides, reduce disputes and support Kyrgyzstan's measured tourism exports — see our research on tourism digitalization and the guest-side money and payments guide. Guesthouse owners can list their property.
Example: on Arashan Transfer, seats are booked with licensed local driver-carriers who receive confirmed, prepaid passengers instead of waiting for customers on the street.
FAQ
How much does it cost to join as a guide or driver?
Nothing during the pilot: joining is free and no commission is charged to the first partners (as of November 2026). Any future paid options will be voluntary and announced in advance.
Do I need to speak English?
Basic English helps with guests from Europe and Asia, but Russian-speaking guides and drivers are also needed: Kazakhstan and Russia are among the largest source markets for Kyrgyzstan.
How many requests will I get?
We do not guarantee a number. Requests depend on your region, season, languages and vehicle. Peak demand is July–August, with winter demand around Karakol and Jyrgalan ski areas.
Do I have to be registered as an entrepreneur?
Registration is preferred and makes digital payments easier. If you are not registered, you can still contact us; for official advice on patents or other regimes, contact the Tax Service.
